TOT Plc unveiled the trial of its internet protocol television (IPTV) service yesterday, seeking to stimulate fixed-line network usage and stop the bleed of landline subscribers.
Models demonstrate TOT’s new internet protocol television at company headquarters yesterday. The service is undergoing a trial, but the Malaysia-based Cubic Associates Group plans a commercial launch of highdefinition IPTV here in April.
The state telecom enterprise says the high-definition IPTV will test the capacity of its fixed-network performance, the result of which will determine whether to keep the obsolete fixed network or scrap the infrastructure.
