TrueVisions wants free football matches

TrueVisions says it should be treated the same as free TV channels and allowed to air some European football championship matches without paying GMM Grammy Plc.

"We don't understand why Grammy will not allow us to receive the signals. The free TVs are there and the public should have the right to watch the football games equally," said Ong-art Prapakamol, chief commercial officer at TrueVisions.

Grammy holds the broadcasting rights for the 2012 Uefa European Football Championship, to be held June 8-July 1. Its media partners are the free TV Channels 3, 5 and 9.
