The Thai telecom market has been buzzing with activity as the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) prepares to auction third-generation (3G) telecom spectrum this month.
The mock-up auction room for 3G bidding slated for mid-October.
As the national regulator, the NBTC is responsible for designing the auction, the results of which will play a pivotal role in developing the capabilities of local telecom providers. It has a number of variables to consider when planning an auction of this kind.
