AIS profit jumps by 42% in third quarter

Advanced Info Service (AIS) reported a sharp increase in its third-quarter net profit, lifted mainly by a surge in data service revenue and lower finance costs.
The country' largest mobile operator posted net profit of 8.79 billion baht in the third quarter, up by 42.4% year-on-year.
Net profit in the first nine months totalled 26.4 billion baht, up by 42.4% year-on-year, the company said in a statement to the SET yesterday.
