NBTC backs digital TV fees draft

The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) yesterday approved a draft of licence fee incentives for new digital television content. 

The draft is intended to offer incentives to operators who provide knowledge-based programmes exceeding the regulator's requirements.

The first public hearing on the draft will be held soon, said Natee Sukonrat, the chairman of the NBTC's broadcasting committee.
