NBTC board endorses 3G auction

The board of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) endorsed the telecom committee's approval of the 3G auction results yesterday, reasoning that the committee has full authority to handle and approve the results.
Eight members of the board voted to approve the results, said secretary-general Takorn Tantasit, while Supinya Klangnarong and Prawit Leesathapornwongsa abstained.
Mr Takorn said the board believes the telecom and broadcasting committees are responsible for their own actions.
