IT store rides smart wave

Thai Joint Venture System, which runs the IT chain Advice Distributions, aims to top 20 billion baht in revenue by 2014 and list on the stock market in the next two years.

"We foresee high growth of smart devices such as smartphones and tablets, as consumers opt to replace devices every year compared with notebooks that are used for two or three years," said managing director Nath Natnithikarat.

The tablet market outside of the One Tablet Per Child scheme is set to grow from 2 million units at year-end to 4 million in 2013, with smartphones rising from 5 million in 2012 to 8 million next year.
