NBTC issues funds for free WiFi

The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) has given 950 million baht to the ICT Ministry to kickstart a project aimed at providing free WiFi across the country within five years.

    I think the concept is actually very attractive. The next question is will they actually work or will the speed be so slow as to be virtually useless and thus just a waste of government money.
