LINE, the world's leading smartphone messaging application with social networking, now has 100 million users, only 19 months after being launched.
"Our efforts have paid off, as evident in the continuous upward trend of users joining LINE, resulting in reaching our 100-million mark," Akira Morikawa, chief executive of NHN Japan Corporation, told a celebratory event in Japan.
He said the company would tap into the momentum by reinforcing its content with an aim to become number one globally in communication services.
