- +

The Wongsawat family, founder of M Link Asia Corporation, will reduce its shareholding in the handset and mobile accessories distribution firm in a bid to reverse its image as politically connected.

Led by Yaowapa Wongsawat, a sister of ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, the family will own only 10% of M Link under a new shareholding restructure, down sharply from present 30%.

Watchai Vilailuck, the president of Samart Corporation, and his group will buy 30% of M Link shares from the family and other shareholders.
