Those who make bookings on certain Emirates Economy Class tickets from Bangkok with layovers at Dubai before March 26, for outbound travel between May 1 and Nov 30, can take advantage of the privilege normally reserved for premium-class passengers.

The usage is up to four hours at the facility, which offers a full range of business services, open buffet and full bar service, the airline said in a release.

The complimentary lounge access is specifically provided to all Emirates customers who purchase an outbound flight on EK377 or EK351 but excludes passengers with Dubai as their final destination.

Emirates operates seven flights a day from Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport to Dubai, six of which are by the Airbus A380 superjumbo and one by the Boeing 777.

In other news, PayPal, a leading global online payments company, has announced a collaboration with Thai Airways International (THAI).

The collaboration with the Thai flag carrier provides travellers with a faster and more convenient way of booking travel online.

Part of PayPal's commitment is to help local Thai merchants gain access to the global economy.

For Thailand's travel industry, the opportunity lies in better serving the needs of a growing group of connected travellers, who expect a smooth online journey from planning to the final booking of the trip.

This is especially important for Thailand, a major tourist destination that welcomed more than 30 million visitors last year.

Also just announced, Qantas is offering special business-class fares for travel from Thailand to Australia and New Zealand until March 31.

The round-trip fares from Bangkok to Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Melbourne and Sydney are on offer from 76,575 baht.

Fares to Auckland, Christchurch or Wellington via Sydney start from 91,560 baht.

The fares are inclusive of airport tax, service fees and other surcharges.

Valid travel periods are April 1-4, May 1-July 6 and July 24-Sept 20. Duration of stay cannot exceed 12 months after departure from Thailand.

Flights to all destinations are via Sydney and/or Singapore.
