Three Australian tourists who were drinking and fooling around fell from a hotel room balcony in Phuket on Tuesday night, according to a <i>Phuket</i> News report.
The report said the three were named as Timothy Jean Cover, Timothy Paul Hanson and Richard Anthony Jones. They are all aged 24.
Mr Cover reportedly landed on his head and was placed on a respirator before being taken to hospital. The other two sustained minor injuries.
A staff at the Phuket Graceland Resort and Spa on Thaweewong Road told Phuket News that the three young men were drinking on the third floor.
They were teasing and pushing each other, before they all fell from the balcony to the courtyard below.
Pol Lt Col Pratueng Polman, an investigating officer at Krathu police station, said he suspected that the three men were very drunk and overly playful. Police will question them after they recover.
