Nobody likes to visit a place in conflict with its’ own. TAT can spend twice the amount mentioned and the negative word of mouth via the Internet or face to face will carry more weight. Thailand is no longer seen as a happy or safe place as Thais fights Thais in the streets of the capitol or on road blocks to and from the provinces.
It’s like being invited to a dinner party where the family is arguing and fighting with each other as the ailing father of the household sits quietly looking on from a corner neglected.

Well, they could start by making Thai Airways fares more competitive than at the present.
Smooth has Silk it may be, but Thai Airways is the most expensive Airline to fly with from Thailand and one of the most expensive from other parts of the world. the Thai goverment is one of the mojor shareholders in Thai Airways so it could force thai to reduce prices at this time to increase the amount of people using it's services.

TAT is absolutely clues how a tourist thinks and act. It is hard to imagine that TAT actually is responsible for tourism. Remember.. Thailand wants tourism but no Tourists, Thailand wants investments but no investors.

I'm sorry but this is so absurd. When you have problems at home you can't save your face and image with neighbours just cause you try to buy a new dress. Solve all this turmoil and put the country in a normal way of life then go shopping and re advertise showing that there is stability. Something must be done...you just can't hold on like this. It's either a military crackdown (dangerous)or an election (a more civil approach). Then address the fake value of the Baht.

Ha Ha:
You are absolutely correct. But of course that is the Thai mindset. Their answer to everything is money - whether trying to get it, spending it, whatever. Everything can be solved with money. One of the many reasons why they are in this mess - forget the fundamentals you mention, lets spend some money. But you wont change that mindset overnight (if ever!)
