ATF event proves a flop in Indonesia

Thai tourism operators attending the Asean Tourism Forum (ATF) in Manado, Indonesia were disappointed with the lower-than-expected buyer turnout and lack of venue facilities and services.

The number of sellers from 10 countries participating in the event fell to 316 compared with 429 that joined the previous event at Diamond Island in Phnom Penh.

Jurairat Sirisambhand, Dusit International's group director for sales and marketing, said buyers were sparse, but the company still attended the event to keep contacts and update new products.
