Singapore pushes for stronger Thai effort

SINGAPORE : Singapore is urging Thailand to introduce new tourism products and build brand awareness through key media outlets, as other rival countries, especially Taiwan, aggressively promote their destinations to Singaporean tourists.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) met 22 leading tour operators in Singapore last Tuesday.
They revealed that Taiwan actively promoted its tourism sites via the popular Mandarin language TV channel 8 in Singapore.
