Yingluck stands behind industry pledge

Private tourism operators will meet to brainstorm a draft long-term strategy by the end of next month after Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra committed herself to paying serious attention to developing the sector.

Ms Yingluck told 18 groups at yesterday's forum of the Federation of Thai Tourism Associations that the Pheu Thai-led government recognises the importance of tourism as a key revenue generator for the Thai economy.

    Long term strategy ??? In Thailand ??? Hm..... oxymoron,no??
    But perhaps in the Miracle Thailand Year even pigs might circle in the skies.
