Russian travel scam in Pattaya

Fourteen Russian tourists are demanding that police speed up their investigation into a scam by a Russian travel company in Pattaya.

The tourists told the superintendent of Pattaya Police Station on Saturday that they had paid a total of 3 million baht for package tours but the operator did not keep her promises.

They filed their original complaint last Monday against Natalia Aleynikova, the 55-year-old operator of the World of Chang travel company in Bang Lamung district.

14 people for 3 million baht? must have sold them a trip to heaven?

There are good and bad agencies run by Thai and good and bad run by foreigners. The problem is as always that even if people know who is cheating them and even if they go the police that does not mean anything will happen. Just look at the infamous jet-ski scammers who cheat tourists for years. How many of them did the police arrest already?
Thinking about Pattaya and the mayor of Pattaya and his father, a convicted murderer who was allowed to live in his own house for years, is anybody surprised?
Maybe someone should ask PM Yingluck why people like him are able to get a government job like that.

Don't know, I've never had a problem here in Thailand, but then again, I am not a big fan of Pataya and other places of such il repute.

Thailand is now a home for scambugs.. why these Russians lodged a complain after giving around 3 million baht. They could have done it early. I wonder...

It's like.. If you falls me once, shame on you. But if you falls me twice shame on me>

While this is shameful, it's small change compared to the daily crimes of the Russian mafia in Thailand. How many legitimate Thai businesses are losing out to Russian businesses who use fear as a business strategy.

Continue placing more trust to these foreign operators and the eventual blame would be right on Thailand.

What, a cheating Russian in Thailand. I am shocked! Just remember who opened the door to that country. A criminal named Shiniwatra comes to mind.
