The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will join hands with private operators for marketing campaigns due to its tight budget this year.
The political problems have hurt the tourism industry, particularly international markets. But domestic tourists are expected to help stabilise the tourism industry during the rainy season from May to October.
TAT needs an extra budget to promote many destinations among Thais. However, the caretaker government cannot disburse any new cash for state-run agencies except for projects approved under the 2014 fiscal budget.
