The number of Chinese tourists travelling abroad annually is expected to double to 200 million by 2020, according to a new report.

Chinese tourists stroll around the campus of Chiang Mai University, which has seen a huge number of visitors ever since the release of ‘Lost in Thailand’.

The report from CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets says the boom will be spurred by increased incomes, relaxation of visa requirements in other countries, and the deteriorating living environment, notably due to pollution, in China.
