London's benchmark FTSE 100 index jumped 1.6% compared with Tuesday's close to open at 6,236.68 points
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 won 1.2% to 9,557.69 points and the Paris CAC 40 gained also 1.2% to 4,139.37.
