WASHINGTON - The US economy expanded less than previously thought in the 2014 fourth quarter, at a 2.2% annual rate, the Commerce Department said Friday.

Growth was revised down from the prior 2.6% estimate on new data mainly showing lower inventory investment and increased imports, the department said.
