Now (weve) turned to a rubber plantation which is not so much hard work as paddy farming. |

(We) use the paddy farm to grow vegetables, beans, keep changing from one kind to another. |

Yes, Nui, the son of Daeng, our next door neighbour, helps out. Without him, we just cant do it. |

In Thailand, the changing way of living has tremendous effect on family ties and bonds. Family size is smaller. Family homes are left behind with older generations. The younger age group goes to study in big cities, gets work there and goes back to their hometowns once or twice a year. Songkran is one major such occasion.
This week let's look at Wee's first day back home with his friend Pete, from the city.
