More than 100 marine, Seal and Mekong patrol officers scoured Chiang Saen lake in Chiang Rai province and found more than 100, 000 logs, suspected to have been cut illegally. Plodprasop Suraswadi, permanent secretary of the Natural Resources and Environment Ministry, confirmed those logs were legal saying they were bought from the FIO's seven forests.
