Sap Jaak Khao looks at a selection of vocabulary from a timely news story in both Thai and English. It is helpful for learners of both languages

When it comes to cheering for hopeful athletes, spectators always disagree with referees’ ruling. This also was the case at the end of the quarterfinals at the 12^th World Amateur Championships when only three Thai hopefuls out of seven entered the last four. Two dropped controversially. This Post Today news story has some useful terms for reading about controversy in boxing matches.
