Vocabulary check: Todays conversation has many Thai common expressions you may hear quite often and a few of them have no English equivalents. However, with some explanation, I think, you may want to use them yourself making your Thai sound more natural. First is nit nit noy noy just a little; just a few, quite a little, not seriously. Sometimes this suggests the sense of being humble. The next one is pai yaang nan lae which has nothing to do with go at all, but suggests doing something without any particular intention. This expression also suggests the sense of being humble. The third expression is jing khawng khun which actually means (What) you (said) is true. As a matter of fact khawng doesnt have to be there at all, but I dont know why we put it in. The No response in Thai is another expression worth noting. You saw mairawk and mailoey above. Another common one is maila. All three are softened by the -rawk , -loey and -la endings. Match the following words about home gardening.
