On Friday October 1^st, the Note Issue Group of the Bank of Thailand issued new paper 50-baht banknotes to replace the unpopular polymer ones. The new banknotes have the same size and design but have some special features added. This Matichon excerpt has the details about the features.

เมื่อวันที่ 27 กันยายน นายอิทธิชัย จันทรินทุ ผู้อำนวยการอาวุโส สายออกบัตรธนาคาร
ธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย(ธปท.) ให้สัมภาษณ์ว่า ในวันที่ 1 ตุลาคมนี้ ธปท.จะนำธนบัตรชนิด
ราคา 50 บาท แบบปรับปรุงใหม่ออกใช้เพื่อทดแทนธนบัตรชนิดราคา 50 บาท รุ่นปัจจุบัน

นายอิทธิชัยกล่าวว่า ธนบัตร 50 บาท ใหม่นี้ยังมีลักษณะทั่วไป ทั้งสีและขนาดเหมือนกับรุ่น
ที่ใช้อยู่ในปัจจุบัน จะต่างเพียงวัสดุที่ใช้พิมพ์จากพอลิเมอร์ เป็นกระดาษเคลือบผิวสีขาว
และเปลี่ยนลายน้ำ นอกจากนี้ยังมีลักษณะพิเศษ โดยเนื้อกระดาษฝังเส้นใยสีโลหะ(เทา)
ซ่อนอยู่ และภายใต้เส้นใยสีโลหะมีตัวเลขอารบิกและอักษรโรมัน คำว่า "50 BAHT" และ
ตัวเลขอารบิกและอักษรไทย คำว่า "50 บาท" นอกจากนี้ เนื้อกระดาษยังฝังเส้นใยเรืองแสง
มองไม่เห็นด้วยแสงธรรมชาติ แต่จะเห็นเรืองแสงเป็นสีน้ำเงิน สีแดง และสีเหลืองภายใต้รังสี
