You will probably know that Thais are great consumers of all kinds of local insects. One of the best and perhaps the most expensive variety are the larvae of hornets or wasps. Why so? Besides their tastiness, the insects are armed with fatal stings, making catching them a difficult and dangerous process. The deadliest species is the one that nests on the ground.
