พระองค์ทรง |
I think because he has
sincerely kept the coronial oath to "reign with righteousness for
the benefit and happiness of the Siamese people" throughout his
reigning. |

Welcome back
to a new adaptation of Phût
Phāsǎ Thāi after our transitional Songkran
break. As per the valued suggestions of our readers, the transliterations
now follow the Royal Institute's system (http://www.royin.go.th/th/profile/index.php),
which includes tone markers. In terms of content, the column will
continue to provide you with
everyday language on specific topics.

Phût phāsǎ Thai Long Live the King / khǒ chōng sōng phrá chàrōen On behalf of the readers of Phut Phasa Thai and Learning Post, we respectfully extend our best wishes to His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King's Birthday. Long Live His Majesty the King!
As a tribute to His Majesty the King on this propitious day, we'd like to quote a small part of the article: Reigning with righteousness for country and people by Mr Prudhisan Jumbala, as published in Outlook on July 24 this year, as one way to demonstrate why Thais' love and admiration to HM the king are almost beyond the understanding of the Western mind:
