Abashed Korean PM resigns

Just playing golf on day of strike

The BBC and AFP reported on March 14 that Korean Prime Minister Lee Hae-chan had submitted his resignation to President Roh Moo-hyun. The move reflected his responsibility over the alleged negligence of duty - spending time playing golf instead of dealing with the railway strike. President Roh had already approved Mr Lee's resignation.
