Phût phāsǎ Thai The new generation tennis players / nák thēnnît rûn mài This year's French Open demands a steadfast determination to win on top of solid and superb tennis technique
The French Open is a can't-miss-it event for all enthusiastic tennis fans. You can watch hours of great tennis without ever getting bored. It seems that each year players on the world tennis tour are getting younger and younger. Novak Djokovic, at age 20, is the youngest top ten player ever, while the beautiful Nicole Vaidisova is following Maria Sharapova in becoming a wealthy tennis prodigy. The more I watch the more I wonder what it is that makes a professional player. I keep wondering how can an unseeded successfully compete against a younger seeded in a very close match? How can a wildcard beat a top-ten seed in straight sets? I have many more questions. Is it perhaps a combination of a determined will coupled with good luck? One thing, though, I've noticed that many top players have a steadfast determination to win and superb technique. |
