Phût phāsǎ Thai Labour Day / wān rāeng-ngān "May Day" in relation to Thailand's National Labour Day
Today is Thailand's National Labour Day, a day that honors the labourers of Thailand. Like most European countries, the government has established May 1 of every year as Labour Day. Most employees don't work on this day. The objective of this day is principally a day of rest for the working person. But it is also in recognition by the government of the social and economic achievements of the working class and labor movements to the country's economy, growth and stability. |
