With a line-up that included Scrubb, Tattoo Colour, The Richman Toy and Yarinda & Friends, the concert outside CentralWorld was held to attract the attention of young people to the European Union's environment campaign.
The 10-day EU Green Days campaign is being held to coincide with climate change talks being hosted here. The campaign is pressing for progress in the negotiations.
Appearing before a crowd of 1,500 young fans, Tata said she was intent on making each individual heard on climate change.
"I decided I wanted to join the 'What on Earth!' concert along with many other artists who care for and want to save our planet. I am also the ambassador for the My Ozone Wish campaign and proud to be a part of this concert," she said.
"We have to pay attention to climate change now because there are a lot of things that need to be done about it and we don't normally realise the damage we are causing, such as with the ozone layer.
"People take it for granted. Some products we use are affecting the ozone layer like sprays, air-conditioners and refrigerators. We should look for any energy-saving stickers on them and choose environmentally friendly products in our everyday lives."
Tata's latest album, Ready for Love, jumps on the environmental bandwagon.
The album cover is printed on recycled paper and has a sticker that says "Protect the Ozone Layer".
"I hope the audience will support my album, Ready for Love. It is my third English album and is one of the best albums I've done," she said.
"It was recorded in Germany, as my producer is based there. "I devoted a lot of time to this album and focused on my vocals through training, a healthy diet and exercise. Apart from that, I really like Europe for its weather, food, fashion and culture," she said.
