SPANISH FANTASY

The "Spanish Fantasy" concerts will be held on November 20 at 7pm and on November 21 at 4pm at the College of Music, Mahidol University, Salaya campus. Conducting the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO) will be Captain Prateep Suphanrojn. Ekachai Jearakul will perform solo on guitar. The programme will include Mozart's Overture from Don Giovannif; Rodrigo's Fantasia para un Gentilhombre (Fantasia for a Nobleman); and Glazunov's Symphony No. 2 in F-sharp minor, opus 16. There will also be work by Spanish composer Joaquin Rodrigo, a concerto based on six short dances for solo guitar by 17th-century Spanish composer Gaspar Sanz. The "Salaya Link" shuttle bus service from BTS Wong Wian Yai to Mahidol University will be available. The bus will stop at Exit 4 of BTS Wong Wian Yai. The shuttle bus ticket costs 25 baht. Check the shuttle schedule at http://www.music.mahidol.ac.th/salayalink.

Don't forget, Bangkok ShOpera, the downtown showplace of the Bangkok Opera, has moved to the fourth floor of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). Everything you've enjoyed is there ... the friendly staff giving you information about Bangkok Opera activities, DVDs and CDs of Bangkok Opera's performances and opera memorabilia.

Do take a moment to drop by the Bangkok ShOpera, conveniently located opposite MBK at the BTS National Stadium.

Tickets to all Bangkok Opera productions will be on sale at the ShOpera in addition to the already existing Thai Ticket Major outlets.
