Piano Concerto

The Department of Communication Arts, Faculty of Humanities, Kasetsart University, presents a piano recital by acclaimed pianist Boris Kraljevic from Montenegro in the main auditorium of Kasetsart University, Bang Khen campus, on Sun, Dec 6 starting at 7pm.
The concert is an opening act of the "Kasetsart University Haydn and Mehdelssohn Piano Concerto Competition 2009", of which Boris is one of the international jury members.
Held in celebration of the 200th anniversary of Franz Joseph Haydn and Felix Mendelssohn - two of the most important composers in the classical music world, the competition is an opportunity for young Thai pianists to shine on the classical music stage.
Three finalists of each category will show off their prepared concerti by Haydn and Mendelssohn, with the KU Wind Symphony in the final round on Dec 11 starting at 7pm.
The contestants aged 11-21 will perform their best to win a cash prize of 30,000 baht, plus a chance to perform in the "Winner's Concert" - again with the KU Wind Symphony on Dec 13.
