EXCITING ART

Fashion photographer Tada Varich and painter Tawan Wattuya are holding the "Story of the Eye" art exhibition at Gossip Gallery until December 12. The highly erotic and uncensored works present a combination of two arts as a poem. The artists play with the boundaries between erotic and pornographic imagery that is undefined and continuously changing from the past. The outstanding feature of the works are blurred messages that are difficult to identify, prompting questions such as "Are these images erotic, artistic or pornographic?", "Do they express a fulfilled desire or anxiety?", "Are they striking or banal?" and "Do they arouse sexual desires or are they just repulsive?" The gallery is on the third floor of Silom Galleria, and is open on Monday to Saturday, from 10:30am to 7pm. Admission is free. Call 02-637-7878 or 08-1440-3896.
