Thanks discussion 9. You will not find any of that kind of thing at Baan Arsa Jaidee. It truly is a volunteer driven centre and we are focused on delivering aid. People come from all walks of life to help us and we are so grateful for their commitment. At the moment we are accepting volunteers every day from 2pm to make rafts (out of water bottles) and EM water treatment balls. Please do come along if you have time to spare! See website for more info: http://baanarsajaidee.blogspot.com/

disc. 8 - I was there, you can see me and a few friends in that video. We left after seeing the redshirts take over. They threatened several of us and stopped people filming. Baanajd - I'll probably head over your way and help out there instead. Thanks!

A group of foreign and Thai volunteers at FORC after they pack the stuff mostly donated by the public to the government, then the packages are loaded onto the truck which has the banner " For flood victims with concern and care from Thaksin Shinawatra" implying that it's from him. After we noticed that people at Dong Muang placed signboards on trucks with our donated goods saying „ Donation from Thaksin Shinawatra „ , we stopped donating to the government and donated instead to TV Channel 3. This is not a joke.

Donation is the best ways for helping homeless people. Everybody can donate everywhere close to your areas.

Hi there. If you're uncomfortable giving directly to government you might want to consider donating to an Emergency Volunteer Centre like Baan Asarjaidee (http://baanarsajaidee.blogspot.com/). Their funds are managed by Thai Health which is a government agency which operates AUTONOMOUSLY. I've been volunteering there for the past week and they are doing some amazing work (see website). Come by and check out the centre for yourself (AMC Building Near Sanam Pao BTS). You can donate via the website. Thanks folks!

Franklin your 100% on target, John rephrase your words, you just lost 500 Baht. The facts are clear and always have been. Any donations in good cause are always stolen via the crooks on the top.. Look at the Tsunami ? Speculation has it over 500 000 Baht was gone missing..

The sad part is that so many would be willing to donate but don’t have any trust that the money will get to and actually help the victims. The admitted level of corruption in Thai government and its acceptance by the public halts otherwise good intentions. Remember the unaccounted donations from European countries and final no accounting. Truly sad.

    I've donated 500 baht.
