With the floodwaters receding, it's hoped that pets housed in temporary shelters can return to their owners
The painful cry of dogs in distress can be heard metres away from Bang Pakong Livestock Development Department (LDD) _ temporary shelter for flood-stricken animals displaced during one of the worst floods in the country's history. A sense of gloom and despair seems only obvious as stressed-out pets contend with having to be separated from their loved ones during weeks of inundation. As the waters begin to recede, there is a spark of hope for the residents of this government-run lodging to return home or, if abandoned, join the ranks being branded strays.
Taking sanctuary at the Bang Pakong Livestock Development Department is this family of felines that seem desperate to go home.
