EXHIBITION
A colourful way to help kids
The Rainbow Room's first exhibition aims to brighten the lives of children with special needs.
When thinking of children with special needs, an image that often springs to mind is the one that we have seen on the front of donation boxes _ the sad face, the pleading eyes, the helplessness and the need for sympathy. Rosalina Alexander of The Rainbow Room, a special needs awareness centre in Bangkok, resolves to change that.
Having worked closely with children with special needs and their parents, and as a mother who has a daughter with special needs, Alexander knows how great the possibilities are for these children, and how positivity can help them reach their maximum capacity. She has witnessed many inspiring moments that prove to her the power of love, positivity and play.
With an aim to raise positive awareness about the potential of children with developmental and behavioural needs, The Rainbow Room has partnered with Art Connection, Autism Awareness Thailand and National Discovery Museum Institute in creating an art exhibition, titled "The Art of Making a Rainbow", which runs from tomorrow until Jan 29 at The Museum Siam.
