Central hands out flood aid

Nearly 2,000 families of flood victims in Phichit province had a reason to smile after they received household goods from the Central Group to help them return to normal life as quickly as possible.

Suthikiati Chirathivat led a group of Central executives to present the goods worth nearly 2.5 million baht at a ceremony attended also by the provincial governor and senator, politicians and community leaders in Phichit. The donation was part of more than 100 million baht the Central Group pledged to flood relief efforts doled out in three phases. The third phase supports the rehabilitation of victims with household goods including electrical appliances, kitchenware, and bedding. A total of 15,000 sets of household items worth 22 million baht...
