Pattrakorn Chomaksorn's job starts only after sunset and finishes before midnight. Despite working only a few hours a day, Pattrakorn earns a handsome income each month.

"My job is, in a way, like a stand-up comedian. But instead of standing in front of the audience and make them laugh, I sit behind the screen, tell jokes and narrate stories through carved leather puppets that look so alive," Pattrakorn, 43-year-old shadow play or nang talung puppet master said, explaining his job.
