The two doors

Sometimes, amazingly, a few words is all it takes to get us back on the right track. A friend of mine recently forwarded me the text of a short dharma lesson given by the Venerable W. Vajiramedhi, entitled "The Two Doors".
Reading it really made my day and so I'd like to share it with you, as a gift for 2012, a year whose ups and downs we'll all have to brave together:
"There are many types of doors. It is the same with our sufferings and problems. Sometimes, we live as if we were trying to open a door by pulling it, even though it is supposed to be pushed. At other times, we try to push it, when we should have slid it open. And then sometimes we cannot open the door at all, in the same way as we can't push our problems away.
