Re: Double pricing system in Thailand

Maybe we could find some balance here if expats living here if we could purchase an annual pass to the National parks. We contribute to the Thai economy in a lot of other ways and we darn sure are not tourist.

Re: Land purchase through Thai spouse forbidden: Land Dept

Well I have a bike ride planned there this year. I doubt I will leave Thailand but it does sound like a good break from the norm here. By the way we didn't all marry problematic bar girls. I want to see the mountain roads and the beaches. I know i's easier and cheaper to buy the proper size bike the...

Re: Land purchase through Thai spouse forbidden: Land Dept

Well what the guy at the Land Department had to say was no problem unless a farrang starts complaining about how it was his money that paid for it. Then it will come under investigation. I seriusly doubt they even have the manpower to do mass searches just based on a farrang marriage. When the guy m...

Re: Double pricing system in Thailand

Do I think it is fair system no I don't. I can understand wanting to keep the parks beautiful. But this goes far beyond parks. I'm lucky I live in Udon and have for six years. I pay the same for my products a anyone else. Recenly we took a vacation to Mae Hong Son, where a travel agent rather proudl...
