Re: Western Democracy Vs Thai Democracy

When pointed out glaringly obvious realities missed or oblivious to, trisailor either changes the discussion around in a way to avoid addressing the facts posed to him, or ignores it completely. "missing the boat" or perhaps missing the same continent is more applicable. Actually, if it is...

Re: New Addiction "Indian Chaat"

Critical; maybe we are not talking about the same restaurant. I walked there a few nights ago to have a look. They were closing to I took a paper takeout menu. That is what I base my comments on. If you are on the same side of Soi 23 as California Fitness/ Little Italy Restaurant, walk away from suk...

Re: New Addiction "Indian Chaat"

Many if not most of menu items are way over 70 baht, and many in line with already pricey Indian restaurants.

70 baht entrees at the BTS Indian restaurant are quite small and disappointing.

Re: Western Democracy Vs Thai Democracy

All those expat living here will be much happier if they do not come with a 'better-than-you' attitude and be content with what Thailand has to offer. Of course we are not perfect in so many ways but please let us do things our own way and don't be too judgemental. I am a retired American living in...

Re: Western Democracy Vs Thai Democracy

The question is: are there Real democracies on this planet? When I look around, the world is filled with oligarchies; Thailand and USA are both a good example! I am not Swiss... but I think Switzerland is the only close to democracy country in the world. Swiss people do not even want to belong to E...

Re: High Time the Vehicle Number Plates be in English & Thai

lieve Dutchboy, Could it be my reference to IQ is about the thought processes / conclusion that led the OP to make that demand? I did not mean to infer someone has a low IQ if they do not learn the language of the country they live in so don't take it personally. IMO, it is amazing how someone so bo...

Re: High Time the Vehicle Number Plates be in English & Thai

what the OP demands is tantamount to Thais living in US, Canada, South America, Europe, et,etc to demand the use of Thai letters instead of English or whatever is their national language on car license plates. Why can't you just learn the Thai alphabet, consonants only ????? Its rather interesting i...

MRT Television Volume

For a very long time I told my friends from Japan and America how nice the BKK MRT was. Very modern, clean, comfortable, quiet, on time, nice stations with shopping and food. No food/drink allowed upon entering the tollgate. I told them this BKK MRT put the NY City train to shame for the above reaso...
