Re: New way of corruption (90 days)

betraveler, the 90 days report if only for people who have stayed in Thailand for more than 90 days, whereby they need to report their current address in a form which is free of cost at the Immigration or certain points that are now diminishing; hence, the thread. As a tourist, if you're not staying...

New way of corruption (90 days)

There used to be a time when you could go to Bumrungrad hospital every 3rd saturday of a month and get your 90 days updated there. Recently, I went down to the hospital and was informed by the hospital staff to leave my passport there with a THB1000 and they will get the 90 days updated for me withi...

Re: Global icare company

I don't think there is much the embassy can do in this regards. One works in Thailand under the laws of Thailand. You must have been aware that working without a work permit is illegal too and yet you went ahead with it. Yes, you can argue that you were promised one after the probation period, but s...

Re: Global icare company

joecaliber, you're very lucky that you got the 1st month salary. They were legally not required to do that and even if you tried to sue them earlier no lawyer will advise you that you would win. Because this is a clear cut case. If worse comes to worse they will say you were freelance and were hired...

Re: Suvarnabhumi hates "Dang Dao".

I guess I'm one of the lucky one's who has never encountered a problem at the airports or with the immigration staff. On the contrary, they are always polite and some even ask "how are you?" (especially the female officers). I'm not joking! But then again I always give my passport at the i...

Re: High Time the Vehicle Number Plates be in English & Thai

Observer,

I suggest you read the whole discussion before jumping the gun and saying that I was demanding. It was a suggestion, good, bad, wrong or right, is one's opinion.

The issues you might have, could be a non issue to others; but that's their opinion.

Re: New Addiction "Indian Chaat"

Observer, the address mentioned on the net is 59/4, Sukhumvit Soi 23 (opposite Smart School), Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok - Thailand 10110. But my directions would be that it's inbetween soi 23 and 31. The school is called sawadee school in thai, it's right opposite the school and next to Antonio's rest...

Re: Dining out

You guys might enjoy an evening at Ambrosia restaurant in Sukhumvit Soi 24 which I recently tried myself. The food is reasonably priced and the quality and taste is quite good.
