Hey Sul, I wrote let the Status Quo apply , in other words i,m quite satisfied with Abhi until the next free and fair GE unlke others who have called him fit to burn and STILL can,t put a legitimate name on someone who could do it any better, the "newcomer" has called you all out and from what I see(and expected) no one has the guts to give a NAME, got it gentlemen a NAME, or is that too much to ask?

Sorry Chaiyo, Thailand is nowhere near free as the US.......and decreasing daily. Yes, we did pick Obama who has NO experience administering. He was "ordained" in January this year. In his first 100 days he has virtually bankrupted the USA and has grandious plams to finalize the bankruptcy process in the next 100 days. Yes, we had a choice and IMHO we picked the absolute worst choice available.
However, he hasn't sent the army to the streets to quell his opponents and he hasn't closed down any TV/radio stations or blocked any websites of his opposition. You see, the USA will be financially bankrupt, but we will still have freedon of speech.
Nice to see you again.

We can only find one, if we're as free as the US, in our selections. The same way they managed to find Obama (not very well known before the US elections campaigns) and elected him, to clean the mess created and left behind by Bush.

There might be some good ones, but are gunned down before an election takes place, as almost at every election campaign
as I know, 1 to 3 politicians were gunned down.

You're so right.

The R.oyal Ploughing Ceremony has predicted bountiful harvests and plentiful water supplies in Thailand this year.
This year, the two sacred oxen ate sesame seeds and grass, a forecast that the country will enjoy an abundance of rice, fruits and water.
Ermintrude and Daisy - there's two names for you to pick from

I prefer Emmanuel and Cleopatra

Hey Ray even though i,ve always been a republican at heart, to be fair to Obama ,the guy picked up a poisoned chalice , just like Abhi has done , I,ve just been reading the absolutely horrific unemployment figures in the US for the month of April ,I just could not see any one man or party changing things in either country in the short term or even 2 terms , the whole world is a mess and the mob who has been screaming for Abhi,s head can,t even give a name to anyone in the opposition to pick up the gauntlet even though the "newcomer" mentioned 2 names , in closing, Ray nice to have you back aboard.

Villager,
I can't believe I am saying this, but I have to agree with your choice (hope you know how hard it was for me to associate that post my name). The political maneuvering is well under way when the GE does happen though. I can honestly admit that, at this moment, I don't have a name from any party to support. I heard through the grapevine that a guy named Thaksin is interested though.

BTW, Do I have to be a newcomer all over again?

Villager,
Have to admit that Obama inherited a mess, but in very short order he has created an increase of our deficit of $2,000,000,000 more than GW, with plans to expand that even more, maybe $2,000,000,000 more. The US is a wealthy country(at least it use to be), we still can't afford that kind of continuing deficit. here will be no end in sight to this deficit that is measured in TRILLIONS.

Hey GW is unemployed now. Maybe he can come over and have a go at being PM. Cheney could be his FM and..............

Ray, I agree with you, Thailand is nowhere near free as the US.......and decreasing daily, that's why I said, if, Thailand could only be as free as the US.

US was on the road to bankruptcy (long ago) when 1) they printed more money than the gold reserve they had. 2) Accounts were all cooked up. 3) Spend more than earn and live mostly on borrowed money and still pay CEO handsomely. 4) Relying on cheap labours. etc etc. Not easy to save a country when it involves trillions and trillions of dollars. If a lawyer can't succeed then I don't think a soldier can succeed.

Your last paragraph is 100% correct.........However, he hasn't sent the army to the streets to quell his opponents and he hasn't closed down any TV/radio stations or blocked any websites of his opposition. You see, the USA will be financially bankrupt, but we will still have freedom of speech.

Thank You, nice to see you too. :D :D
