Thaksin's Return

Thaksin's Return

Postby uncleUSTH on Sat Aug 15, 2009 8:14 am

Ex PM Thaksin says he wants to return to Thailand. There are petitions for and against. There are rallies for and against. There is a petition for pardon. A pardon would be an admission of guilt as imposed by the courts. I am not aware of any law or condition preventing Mr. Thaksin from just getting on a plane [ as he does so frequently ] and returning to Thailand. No one to my knowledge is keeping him out. Just the opposite, the government keeps looking for him so he can be returned to Thailand.
There is just one caveat, he must serve his time as prescribed by the courts of Thailand. If I am wrong, please correct me.
Thank you.

That is a interesting question, and also how about his wife, Samak, The terrorists PAD and Khun Kasit what is happening with the RULE OF LAW, it is interesting also that all this is published in the BP and the Nation and then soon forgotten.
It seems everything about Mr. T. is on the for front and everything else is put on the back burner, how about clearing some of these cases so we may move forward. RULE OF LAW< RULE OF LAW<RULE OF LAW let's not forget the rule of law is not just to charge people you must also get either innocent or guilty verdicts and then incarceration.

I wish I could say we live in interesting times but unfortunately the THAKSIN ISSUE serves now as no more than an irritating benchmark as to how incompetent and immature the Thai systems of legal and political redress are here, underpinned as they are by the terror of losing face or losing a rung on the ladder to fame and fortune. Thoksin is a corrupt dolt who should be chained and tossed in jail until Thailand sorts out what they want to do to prevent the TOXIC ONE and his like ever coming to power again. Burn the corruption handbook and use TOXIN as an example of HOW NOT TO SUCCEED. If as such money as has been spent on red banners, T-shirts and other Toxic paraphanalia had been spent on the education system instead, there wouldn't be enough retards around to support TOXIC in the first place! Let him rot in the Arab deserts or in Nicaragua - he paid for it!

thaksin has been using Dubai as his staging base for his war of divisiveness within the Kingdom of Thailand. This is because Dubai does not have an extraditon treaty with the Kingdom. But this is all about to change:

As if the desert heat weren't enough; it now appears that the heat from this latest agreement between the Kingdom and the UAE will force thaksin to consider relocating to another country which does not have an extradition treaty with the Kingdom. Will we see him moving to Nicauraga, or PNG, or Montenegro, or perhaps he might move to one of the most democratic country in the world that would receive him with open arms and warm friendship - Kampuchea?

I was wondering why thaksin, that poster boy for democracy, was getting more involved and cosying up with dictatorial countries in Africa; this news will make him stop to think what his personal 'exit strategy' will be. And the bad news begins to pile up with the first nail in his coffin expected by Feb 26th.

"Although there is no extradition treaty between the UAE and Thailand, the UAE has said they intend to reciprocate on the case," the Bangkok Criminal Court said in its ruling on the Smith case . . . . "In the absence of an extradition treaty, courts can extradite on the basis of reciprocity," Foreign Ministry spokesman Thani Thongpakdi said. "So if we cooperate with the UAE on this matter (Smith), they should cooperate in a similar case," he said.

When will he be able to rest in peace? :(

OMG!!

""UAE asked to monitor Thaksin"

Bangkok Post"

The Foreign Ministry has asked the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to monitor the movements of fugitive ex-premier Thaksin Shinwatra for three weeks to see if he is using Dubai as a base to threaten Thai stability, Deputy Foreign Minister Panich Vikitsreth said Monday.

He claimed Dubai was considering a request to temporarily detain Thaksin before extraditing him to serve his two-year jail term in Thailand for power abuse.

His world is getting smaller and smaller. At the end of the day; the only places he can go to are undeveloped and dictatorial countries. Don't we feel so sad for him?

That's what happens when kharma catches up with his self-serving 'kleptocratic regime.'

Why they not? Simple; GREED - thaksin's and his arab friends; tied together in incestuos investments. How naive you are not knowing about Dubai and it's slave labor and down and out ex-pats. A place that thaksin must really feel at home.
Oh sorry there is no other place that he can call 'home'.

Thasin could never return to Thailand again as long as our father is still around and the armies still have its way.

OMG!!

Thaksin returns to Dubai! Another rebuff for the current regime. More government supplied misinformation proved wrong. Oops.

'Govt at a loss now Thaksin 'back in Dubai'. The government's request to have Thaksin Shinawatra denied haven in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) seems to have failed completely, with the fugitive former premier reportedly arriving back in Dubai yesterday from Montenegro.'

OMG!!

thaksin is the true leader of the reds/udd!! :o Who would have known. Actually everybody does except for his supporters who are in denial.

No matter where he is; he will always be in charge and will always continue in his attempts to split the country in two. He has been the cause of all this divisiveness in the country.

Yes let him return; to his hot cell. Then he'll know what it feels like when he has his naive and ignorant supporters steaming on the hot pavement in their own filth, while he is safely in his comfortable bed with his children; where-ever there is a country that doesn't abide by the international rule of law.

That's the point. The selfishness of thaksin and the coarse attitude of his supporters on these many forums; who think it funny that Thais are in this predicament because of one man's ego.
