The Reds taken at face value, say they only wish Democracy to take hold in Thailand. It seems to me that it is really more a issue of personal interest ( corruption ) that is important. Are there any of us that believe Thaksin had more than doubled his wealth during his short years as Prime Minister honestly with out corruption? Are there any of us that are able to accuse Prime Minister Abhisit of corruption during his time in office? If so lets hear them. My point is that real Democracy is only a facade in a political system rife with corruption. It was not that many years ago, for example, the economies of South Korea and Thailand were roughly on a equal footing. Then the South Koreans decided they had enough and clamped down harshly on the corrupt ways of its politicians, by sending it's corrupt leaders to Jail. The resulting economic disparity between the two countries today is painfully obvious.
