If Taksin and Abhisit were out, who would be the next best PM for Thailand? Any new comers that's clean, fair and transparent? Anyone that will bring the people together. Is there such a leader that will inspire us to be better citizens? Or is this not the role of PM? Anyone that will let the past be the past? Or are we stuck in this cycle of brylcreemed leaders with self indulgent goals.

All politicians are self-indulgent and have their own egos, even Obama.

Thaksin has the ego to be as powerful as possible both financially and politically. His ego is to compete and will kill anyone standing in front of him. He wants to be the best, and the best means he is the winner.
example cases: got really pissed when he lose 40 billion baht and when he is kicked out, successful in business world, populist policies(gain votes as much as possible)

Abhisit has the ego to prove himself and write his name in Thai history. His ego is to be accepted and remembered as one fo the better Thai leader. He wants to be the best and the best means he has proved himself.
example cases: not steppin down despite great amount of pressure, land reform, enter politics at early age

In my opinion, Abhisit's self-indulgence has similar interest to the nation as a whole and that's why i would prefer him over Thaksin.
