Best article of the year

The House dissolution in Sept and Election in Nov is a commitment by the government to the whole country and not just to the RED protesters. That's 4 months away for House dissolution and 6 months away for election. To win the 6 months wait time at the expense of lives, instability and throwing the whole country into a state of chaos is just too unimaginable for me.

Even if the RED protesters eventually got what they wanted, they should know that soon another color shirt group will take to the streets again using the same means they had done to pressure the new government into another round of submission. It is time to put forward the right step to end this vicious cycle. Forceful means may be inevitable at times for a government to fulfill its duty of restoration of peace and order to the country, especially after all peaceful means have been explored. But I hope it can be executed swiftly, efficiently and with controlled use of force after giving sufficient warning and time. :o

it strange to read this, i understand that thaksin would be pissed if he didnt gain anything from the protests, but im so confused, because everything i read in the international publications such as bbc and reuters and ap, they all seemed to say that the reason the election and peace talks got demolished was because no one would take the responsibility for the deaths on april 10th.

and in this article, they place the blame on the reds not getting thaksin back?

that is what is so frustrating about being a foreigner living in thailand, because i really dont know who is telling the truth because everyone has their own agenda and they all seem to talk in circles.

im really saddened, because i know that this will not end well.

some valid points, but some stupid ones as well, such as putting on a parallel, getting stopped for a traffic ticket with the protests now occuring, we have in england a little known law, called lawful rebellion, where if our government commit treason and high crimes then it is our lawful duty under the magna carter to eneter into Lawful rebellion. this basically means going into a peaceful Lawful rebellion, where non compliance gainst the government and witholding all taxes is our Lawful duty.

because someone is 'rebelling' dosant mean they are a terrorist or other inflammatory rhetoric.

No matter what happens the truth will come out then we will see all Aphisit's news paper writers truly red faced (excuse the pun).
