Brilliant
Re: Brilliant
The Democrats have provided strong arguments regarding the incompetent management and corruptuion of the floods by FROC. But majority rules - so incompetence is accepted.
Democratic tyranny makes everything right.

Enough is enough. The country expects and deserves better!
Completely agree with this point.

Personally I prefer to have "these guys" than "that gal and those guys" in government. I haven't yet figured out what we get from those in majority except disappointment that they don't work for the country but for one person. That's a waste of money in my view.

It is fact that we all prefer differently on a host of issues. I am perplexed as to why you prefer a group of people responsible for the biggest crime against the state that could be committed by anyone to run the country. But that is neither here nor there. For the time being "that gal and those guys" in the government have the people's mandate. What we got from those in the majority is a "democratically elected" government. That is first and foremost if we are to consider ourselves a democratic society and place any importance on its founding priciples. What is a waste of money, not to mention an international embarrassment, is elected representatives behaving like hooligans in Parliament because they disagree with a motion.
As far as fairness and honesty, I am curious to know what you think has been unfair or dishonest. Perhaps we can talk about those.

My feeling is that the only crime that occurred in parliament was that perpetrated by thaksin and his majority many years ago. That was the crime against the people of Thailand by hijacking the parliament and having a tyranny of democracy. He disregarded and show his disdain for the rule of law and the justice system. And all this is recurring now through his surrogates and their attempts to rush through amendments to the constitutions, that at the end of the day is done for and on the behalf of the representatives of the majority and not for the majority themselves, and surely not for me.
It's more embarrassing to me that we have members of parliament who take their impetuous childish behaviors, taking their tantrums 'outside' of parliament, because their side didn't win the pm seat through another surrogate from a smaller party. Aphisit was democratically elected by representatives with the people's mandate within the parliamentary system. It's embarrassing to show the world that we cannot solve our disagreements through parliament but have to incite mobs because we didn't like or disagreed with what occurred within parliament in a democratic system. What your representatives did was to arouse divisiveness and create a national distrust. They egged their red supporters on to burn, loot and intimidate the people of Bangkok. All because they didn't get what they or thaksin wanted.
